Dolphins a’Plenty
Our dolphin eco tour operates year round, because the local bottlenose dolphins live here year-round. A pod of more than 70 dolphins, your chances of spotting dolphins in our waters are enormously high; rarely a day goes by that we don’t see large numbers of them. As our vessel moves through the bay, the dolphins will often swim very close, racing alongside our bow. Dolphins are known for their friendliness and these sleek, impressive creatures are certainly not shy. You’ll have great views of the dolphins not only on our dolphin eco tour but on most of our other cruises as well.
A Wealth of Whales
Our whale eco cruise is a true adventure out on Jervis Bay. There’s nothing quite as thrilling as sighting the majestic humpback. Beginning in mid-May, we’ll begin to spot the first of the migrating whales making their way into the waters near the bay. Whale watching is somewhat more variable as the number of whales can change from year to year. But during the height of whale season, we generally spot several of them on a daily basis. In October and November, the mother whales are known for “hanging around” in Jervis Bay while they nurse their young. These months are known for some of our best sightings.

A Superabundance of Seals
Adorable Australian fur seals make their home at two points in Jervis Bay. Our seal colony eco cruise takes you to their favourite spot at Drum and Drumsticks. Here, you’ll observe a few dozen seals in their natural habitat. Depending on the day, the number of seals visibly onshore will vary, but you may be able to spot their friends diving and racing through the water. Fur seals are fascinating and sometimes humorous to watch. Because they remain in the bay all year long, our cruise operates 365 days a year.
