School Holidays are On their Way! Book Your Jervis Bay Eco Cruise Now

Winter school holidays are right around the corner. Here in New South Wales, the holidays take place from 29 June until 10 July 2015. Queensland school holidays fall over the same dates, as do those in the state of Victoria. What does this mean for Jervis Bay? Although not the busiest season of the year, our region will certainly experience an influx of visitors to our beautiful beaches and quaint seaside towns.

If you’re planning on travelling to Jervis Bay over the next several weeks, it is time to look ahead and ensure all your bookings are in place. At this juncture, you likely already have your accommodation set. Have you made time to schedule the activities your family hopes to participate in? At Jervis Bay Wild, we’d encourage you to book now for our ever popular eco cruises.

Eco Cruise Options for Your Holiday

During this time of year, we have several options for your scenic wildlife adventure. Our dolphin eco cruise is available every day of the year. This is our most beloved activity. Participants enjoy two delightful hours on the pure turquoise waters of Jervis Bay, exploring the stunning coastline and coming face to face with our 80+ population of resident dolphins. Watch the dolphins race past our vessel, playing happily in the ocean and showing off for you.

Whale watching is also in full swing in Jervis Bay this season. Our whale eco cruise is a thrilling adventure and these tours book up quickly. The mighty humpback whale heads out on a yearly migration during the winter months, travelling north to seek warmer waters for breeding and mating. Wr spot whales all the time on our Jervis Bay Wild eco cruises, so you’ll be captivated by sightings of these massive, amazing mammals as they jump through the waves, expel water from their spouts, and float by gracefully. You’ll probably also see heaps of other wildlife as well.

The Jervis Bay Passage Cruise is a third choice for your Jervis Bay wildlife experience. As you’re treated to tales of history and myth about the majestic coastline, you’ll pass the towering cliffs of Point Perpendicular (standing 100 impressive metres in height.) You’ll see breathtaking sea caves along the way, explore Gumgetters Inlet, and best of all, observe the natural habitat of Australian fur seals. You may spot a colony of Australian fur seals on the rocks at a place known as Drum & Drumsticks. Your family will be so excited to spot the adorable and fascinating fur seals, swimming, playing, and resting on the rocks.
