The Perfect Day in Jervis Bay

Good morning. You’ve woken up in your comfortable bed with sunlight streaming in through the window. You had a glorious night’s sleep at your beautiful accommodation, Dolphin Sands B&B. As you gaze out through the curtains you see that the sky is a brilliant, inviting blue. It’s time to begin your perfect day out in Jervis Bay.

As you step outside your lovely B&B, you’ll find plenty of cafes and shops just a short and leisurely stroll away. You are in the heart of downtown Huskisson, one of Jervis Bay’s most pleasant and well-known seaside towns, and a hub of activity. Although you’ve had breakfast at your accommodation, you decide to sit down at a quaint cafe and enjoy a morning cup of coffee. After a while, the smell of the sea is calling and you know it’s time to have some fun.

Electric bikes are for hire all over Jervis Bay, so you and your travel companions decide to go for a ride. You spend hours pedaling up and down the coast and exploring the spectacular scenery, feeling tired and happy from your exertion. You return to Huskisson in time for a brilliant lunch, discovering you are famished! You decide to stop in at a little funky place called Pilgrims, with a view of the Husky Wharf, where you can see the Jervis Bay Wild being prepared for your trip!

As the afternoon continues, it’s time for the highlight of your day: your Dolphin eco cruise with Jervis Bay Wild! You arrive early just as instructed, and the boarding process is smooth and pleasant. You find your staff to be engaging and friendly, and you feel your excitement beginning to build. You’re looking forward to two glorious hours in the Jervis Bay waters. As you begin to move out into the bay, the sea air fills your lungs and you can’t help but smile. This certainly is a beautiful place.

You pass stunning sea cliffs and impressive, ancient caves. This is an explorer’s paradise for sure. Your guide informs the passengers that bottlenose dolphins have just been spotted. Sure enough, swimming right alongside the boat is a large pod of dolphins. They race through the water, sometimes leaping through the air. You are able to capture some great photos of them, and it is amazing how close you are to these magnificent creatures.

The dolphin eco cruise continues, and you are lucky enough to spot several turtles, seabirds, and even a shark. Your guide points out any wildlife you encounter and shares facts and stories about the Jervis Bay region and its abundant marine life.

After arriving safely back to the harbour, you feel inspired and thrilled. What an adventure you have had!

You and your family/friends set out in search of dinner. You have a great selection of restaurants in the Jervis Bay area, but you settle on Wild Ginger an Asian-infusion spot known for a vast wine list and . Over your delicious meal, you and your companions recount the day’s experiences. Following dessert, you are truly satisfied, and it is time to retire for the evening.

Returning back to your B&B, you realise this now feels almost like home, and you could perhaps live here forever! What an incredible day you’ve had in Jervis Bay. Perhaps it is time to start researching real estate…
